We aim to deliver orders within 2-4 working days. By registering your details online you agree to our terms and conditions. When you place an order online, it is classed as an offer. By proceeding through the checkout process and accepting our Terms and Conditions, you are making an offer to purchase the goods which, if accepted by Village Maid Cheese Ltd, will result in a binding contract.
Your completion of the checkout process does not constitute Village Maid Cheese Ltd’s acceptance of your order. Payment will be taken using your preferred method and an acknowledgment of receipt of your order will be emailed to you. Acceptance of your order and the formation of a contract between you and Village Maid Cheese Ltd will take place on dispatch to you of the products ordered, unless Village Maid Cheese Ltd has notified you that they do not accept your order, or you have cancelled it (please refer to Returns and Refunds).
If for some reason you do not receive an email acknowledging receipt of your order, yet your payment method has been debited, please notify Village Maid Cheese Ltd.
Personal details and payment method information supplied by you must be correct and valid and such that you are authorised to use. Your email address and personal information will never be passed on from us to any other third party.
Payment is carried out through secure gateways using PayPal and Stripe. These are world-recognised and established companies that accept all major credit and debit cards as well as Apply Pay and Google Pay. Errors may therefore occur beyond our control and we will work as quickly as possible to resolve any issues with third-party gateways.
If you wish to cancel an order you have made, please contact Village Maid Cheese Ltd within one hour of placing the order. After this time, the order may have already been processed and a cancellation would not be possible. If Village Maid Cheese Ltd accepts the cancellation of your order, and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.
We use a third party courier (DPD) to deliver orders. Village Maid Cheese Ltd cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage of goods once they have been collected from our premises by DPD. It is the customer’s responsibility to contact DPD as soon as possible following a missed or lost delivery to resolve the issue.
Orders are packed with insulation and ice packs tested to maintain a suitable internal temperature for up to 48 hours, however it is the customer’s responsibility to refrigerate goods immediately on arrival.
Returns and Refunds
Returns are not accepted. Refunds/replacement of goods will take place only if the goods are damaged in transit and clear and concise evidence of this is provided. You must inform Village Maid Cheese Ltd within 24 hours from receipt of order by email or phone. If there is a noticeable issue with the cheese upon inspection, we will offer a replacement or refund.
Cutting and Weights
Our whole cheeses are handmade and cut pieces are cut by hand. Because of our traditional, artisan approach to cheesemaking, it is very unlikely that weights listed on product descriptions will match the exact weight of the cheese you receive. This is shown on the product description purely as a guide.
